All calculation histories, "Favorite" bookmarks, and app settings are stored locally using an encrypted SQLite database (Room) on your physical device. This data is not accessible to us or any third parties unless you explicitly use the "Export" feature to share it yourself.

3. Third-Party Services

To provide a free experience and ensure timely updates, we utilize the following trusted third-party services:

Google AdMob: Facilitates the delivery of non-intrusive advertisements. Google may use device identifiers (like Android Advertising ID) to provide relevant ads and analyze performance.
OneSignal: Enables us to send push notifications regarding Statistics Canada CPI dataset updates. This service may process basic hardware metadata to ensure notification delivery.

4. Data Permissions

The app requests the following permissions to support specific features:

Internet Access: Necessary for retrieving remote maintenance status and loading advertisements.
Storage Access (SAF): Utilized only when you trigger a "PDF Export" or "CSV Export." We do not have access to your broader file system.

5. Children's Privacy

This application is intended for use by researchers, students, and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data through third-party services, please contact us.
