Privacy Policy
Temperature Monitor: Fever · Last updated: 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Temperature Monitor: Fever mobile application (the "App", "we", "us" or "our") handles information when you use it. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information You Enter
The App lets you record and manage the following information, which is stored locally in a private database on your device:
- Profiles: a display name, age range and relationship (for example "Me" or "Child") for each person you track.
- Temperature readings: temperature value, date and time, measurement site, thermometer type, symptoms and free-text notes.
- App settings: preferences such as temperature unit, language and theme.
We do not collect, transmit or have access to this health information. It remains strictly on your device unless you choose to export or share it yourself.
2. Export, Import and Sharing
The App can create PDF reports and CSV/JSON export files of your readings. These files are generated on your device using Android's Scoped Storage. They are only shared when you choose to share them (for example with a doctor, by email or through another app). Once shared, the file is handled by the recipient or service you chose, under its own privacy policy.
3. Information Collected Automatically by Third Parties
The App uses the following third-party services, which may collect information from your device in line with their respective privacy policies:
Google AdMob (advertising)
The App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, device model and ad interaction data to show and measure ads.
OneSignal (push notifications)
The App uses OneSignal to deliver push notifications such as announcements and app updates. OneSignal may collect a push token, device model, operating system version, language, time zone and app version so notifications can be delivered. You can turn off push notifications at any time in your device settings.
Google Play Services (in-app updates)
The App uses Google Play's in-app update feature to notify you when a new app version is available. This feature is handled by Google Play Services under Google's privacy policy.
Service status & maintenance check
When the App starts, it contacts our server to check whether the App is under maintenance and to obtain operational configuration settings. This request contains only the App's package name. As with standard internet requests, our server may record your IP address in standard server logs, which are used solely for security and service operation.
None of these third-party services receive or access your temperature readings, symptoms, notes or profile information.
4. Permissions
- Internet and network state: required to display ads, receive push notifications, check for app updates and verify service maintenance status.
- Notifications: required to deliver push notifications and announcements. You can grant, deny or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.
5. Backup and Device Transfer
Your App settings may be included in Android's cloud backup to your Google account. Your health database (readings, profiles and notes) is explicitly excluded from cloud backup for privacy protection. If you transfer data directly to a new device using Android's device-to-device migration, your App data may be copied locally to the new device.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Your data remains on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual readings or profiles in the App, or remove all data by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App. Because we do not store your health data on remote servers, we cannot recover it for you once deleted.
7. Data Security
Your data is stored within the App's private storage on your device, which other applications cannot access. We recommend securing your device with a screen lock. Please be careful when sharing exported reports, as they contain your personal health information.
8. Children's Privacy
The App may be used by parents or guardians to record temperature readings for their children. The App is not directed at children to use independently, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. All information entered about a child remains strictly on your device.
9. Medical Disclaimer
The App is a tracking tool for personal record keeping only. It does not measure body temperature via camera or hardware sensors, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding fever or any health concerns.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (such as under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal data. Because your health data is stored strictly on your device, you can exercise these rights directly within the App. For data handled by third-party services (such as AdMob or OneSignal), please refer to their privacy policies or contact us for assistance.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
